It is understood that the City is currently processing a large number of Santa Ana <br />Register of Historical Properties and Mills Act applications and requires assistance to complete the <br />supporting documentation. Specifically, the City requests the assistance of a historic resources <br />consultant to prepare up to twenty Historic Resources Templates. Additionally, review of a newly <br />developed, Excel -based historic resources inventory form, staff training to complete inventory forms, <br />and staff and Historic Resources Commission training to apply the Secretary of the Interior's <br />Standards for Rehabilitation has also been requested. We also understand that the City may have <br />need for general historic preservation consultation on a variety of issues on an as -needed basis. The <br />following scope of work encompasses these services. <br />Firm Description <br />Chattel, Inc. (Chattel) is a consulting firm that provides solutions for historic properties. For over 20 <br />years, our staff of architects, historians, and planners has worked to get financial incentives like tax <br />credits for rehabilitation projects. We also help governmental agencies and stakeholder groups <br />identify important community resources and plan for their preservation. The regulatory world <br />surrounding development projects can be complex, and we have the skills and experience to <br />streamline project review and achieve creative changes to historic properties.
