FOR <br />THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF <br />AUDIOIVIDEO EQUIPMENT AT THE <br />ROOSEVELT -WALKER COMMUNITY <br />CENTER <br />(STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 2,3D) <br />CITYMANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Digital <br />Networks Group, Inc. to provide and install audio/visual equipment in an amount not to exceed <br />$96,396, which includes a 10% contingency, for a term from August 16, 2017 through June 30, <br />2018, subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On June 20, 2011 the City Council adopted a resolution authorizing staff to apply for a <br />Proposition 84 "Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal <br />Protection Bond Act" grant. The City was awarded the grant in the amount of $5 million to <br />develop park improvements at Roosevelt Elementary School. Part of the funding is to construct a <br />new community center. Fully -equipped, the center will provide services to students and residents <br />with access to professionally equipped computer labs where patrons will learn about video <br />production, editing, broadcast. In addition, the center will assist in the production of essential <br />content for Santa Ana's Government TV station CTV-3. <br />On May 25, 2017, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) issued a <br />Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase and installation of audio/visual equipment for the <br />Roosevelt/Walker Community Center. <br />An evaluation committee consisting of one representative from PRCSA-Administrative Services, <br />two from PRCSA-Library, one from PRCSA-Recreation and one from Information Technology, <br />reviewed and rated the proposals. The proposals were evaluated according to the criteria listed <br />25H-1 <br />
