This discussion typifies the project management process Digital Networks Group <br />employs for all major projects, This outline follows a Ton -Step process whereby in. <br />the first two steps, Digital Networks Group Plans the Work. The subsequent eight <br />steps describe how Digital Networks Group actually Works the Plan. <br />Step 9: Define the Work <br />Before the main work on a project begins, a number of items need to be in place. <br />US <br />• Client gives approval to begin planning, Implicit approval — i.e. Notification <br />0 <br />of Intent to Award Provided <br />i 2, <br />CO <br />• Project is defined. This is documented in the Project Definition, which <br />contains objectives, scope, assumptions, deliverables, budget, etc. <br />• Project Work plan is created. Prepare a work plan to manage the project <br />UJ° <br />effort. This includes checkpoints, or milestones, when the project can be <br />evaluated to ensure that it is appropriate to continue. <br />' <br />• Client gives approval to begin project. This is signified through a signed, <br />approved Project Definition.
