• Actual Effort Hours (Optional): Update with the effort hours to complete if i <br />they are being tracked, <br />• Actual Cost (Optional): Update with actual costs if they are tracked. <br />• Current Status: Usually 'Pending'/'OnHold'/ 'In Progress' /'Complete' <br />• Dependency (Optional): Enter the activity number of the activity that must <br />be completed before this one can start. <br />Stop 3: Manage the Work Man <br />• Review the work plan on a weekly basis. <br />• Identify activities that have been completed during the previous week and <br />update the work plan to show they are finished, <br />• Determine whether there are any other activities that should be completed, <br />but are not, if an activity is behind schedule, work with the Individuals who <br />are assigned to see what Is going on. Determine how much additional effort <br />and duration will be needed to complete the work and update the work plan <br />accordingly. <br />• Evaluate the remaining work to see if the project will be completed within <br />the original effort, cost and duration. <br />• Adjust the work plan so that it reflects how the remaining work will be <br />completed. <br />• If the original budget or deadline estimates cannot be met, new estimates <br />need to be prepared and communicated to management and to the client. <br />Step 4: Manage Issues <br />Solicit potential Issues from any project stakeholders, including the project <br />team, clients, replaces, etc. The Issue can be surfaced through verbal or <br />written means, but it must be formally documented using an Issues Form. <br />• Enter the Issue into the Issues Log. <br />• Assign the issue to a project team member for investigation, <br />• The various alternatives and impact on schedule and budget are <br />documented on the Issues Form.
