Well #32 Rehabilitation Engineering Services <br />Throughout the bidding and construction process, <br />Tetra Tech will assist the Project Manager in the <br />following items: <br />1. Assist in responding to questions raised during <br />the bidding process including preparation of <br />any addenda. <br />2.. Attend the pre -construction meeting and <br />construction kick-off meeting. <br />3: Respond in writing to any contractor's questions <br />(RFI's) during construction. We have assumed <br />a total of twenty (20) RFI's for purposes of this <br />proposal. We have assumed that ten (10) will <br />require design sketches or exhibits, <br />4.. Attend site visits to clarify design issues in <br />the field as required by City staff. We have <br />assumed a total of twenty (20) hours for site <br />visits and construction meetings, <br />5. Collect and compile all equipment and product <br />information provided by the Contractor <br />and incorporate into an Operations and <br />Maintenance manual. The manual will <br />include the specifications, maintenance <br />recommendations and warranty information. <br />6. Assist the City with start-up of the facility upon <br />commissioning of the well into operation. We <br />have assumed a total of forty (40) hours for the <br />purposes of this proposal. <br />7. Evaluate and respond to the Contractor's <br />requests for change orders. We have assumed <br />a maximum of six (6) requests that will need <br />attention. <br />8. Factory and Site Acceptance Testing as <br />required and described in Task 8. <br />9. Review shop drawings, samples, equipment <br />specifications and other submittals, We have <br />assumed sixty (60) submittal reviews for <br />purposes of this proposal. <br />Tetra Tech will review RFI's and shop drawings <br />during construction when forwarded by the City's <br />Construction Project Manager and understand that <br />we may be required to visit the construction site to <br />resolve construction issues. <br />C r' <br />Upon receipt and acceptance of the field As -Built <br />construction drawings from the Project Manager, <br />Tetra Tech will prepare final As -Built drawings <br />Incorporating any changes that occurred during the <br />construction. Field changes shall include all civil, <br />electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines. We <br />shall submit one (1) full size (36x24) hard copy of <br />the As -Built drawings to the Project Manager along <br />with one (1) electronic copy in MicroStation format. <br />The final As -Built drawings and RFI log shall be <br />stamped and signed by a Registered Civil Engineer <br />in the State of California. <br />After construction has been completed and the <br />site has been commissioned, we shall finalize an <br />operational site manual that fully defines how the <br />site functions. Care shall be taken to address the <br />blending strategies and parameters for Well #32 to <br />remain in operation. In addition, all Operator duties <br />shall be defined and procedures for field checking <br />common errors shall be established. The intent <br />of this site manual is to define standard operating <br />procedures for field operations. <br />
