APPROVE A FREEWAY AGREEMENT FOR I-5 HIGH-OCCUPANCY VEHICLE <br />(HOV) PROJECT FOR IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN STATE ROUTE 55 AND <br />STATE ROUTH 57; AND COOPERATIVE FOR PROJECT SUPPORT SERVICES <br />\[NON-GENERAL FUND\] {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 6, 1} - Public Works Agency <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: <br /> <br /> <br />1.Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a freeway <br />agreement (12-ORA-5-30.5/34.6) with the State of California, Department of <br />Transportation (CalTrans) for the I-5 Central Corridor Freeway High <br />Occupancy Vehicle Project, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the <br />City Manager and City Attorney (AGMT. No. 2017-XXX). <br /> <br /> <br />2.Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a cooperative <br />agreement with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) for the I-5 <br />Central Corridor Freeway HOV Project, subject to non-substantive changes <br />approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (AGMT. No. 2017-XXX). <br /> <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS - BUDGET <br /> <br />29A. APPROVE DONATION AGREEMENT WITH VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS TO <br />SUPPORT COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 5, <br />4} – City Council <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the <br />Council to execute agreements with various organizations in support of their <br />community events and programs, subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by <br />the City Manager and the City Attorney, as follows: <br /> <br />1. Second Chance Orange County to support their annual event to support on- <br />going program activities that offer Santa Ana residents with workforce training, <br />in the amount of $500 (Councilmember Solorio); and <br /> <br />2. Santa Ana College Foundation to provide college scholarship funds for <br />graduating high school seniors that live within Santa Anita neighborhood, in the <br />amount of $500 (Councilmember Villegas) <br /> <br /> <br />LAND USE MATTERS <br /> <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT/VARIANCES <br /> <br />31A.
