Agreement for Janitorial Maintenance Services <br />September 5, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />Year 1 <br />484,891.20 <br />Year 2 <br />538,767.84 <br />Year 3 <br />598,630.80 <br />Contingency <br />15,000.00 <br />Total <br />1,637,289.84 <br />Santa Fe is the Police Department's current janitorial service contractor, has performed well <br />during the term of their agreement, and has been very accommodating the past three years. <br />As a result of the new union -only solicitation, the City will be paying an additional 24% ($92,660) <br />for the first year of the agreement when compared to current costs. Most Santa Fe employees <br />will receive a 5-10% pay increase, a limited health plan, two additional sick days per year, two <br />additional holidays per year, and up to two additional weeks' vacation per year, depending on <br />years of employment. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMNET <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #1 Community Safety, Objective #3 (promote <br />fiscal accountability to ensure financial responsibility at all levels of the organization), Strategy A <br />(continuously evaluate and assess fiscal aspect of service delivery to ensure that the Police <br />Department provides programs and services efficiently and effectively). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for this agreement are available in the Police Department Building & Facility Contract <br />Services account (no. 01114403 62300) for the following fiscal years: <br />FY 2017-18 <br />FY 2018-19 <br />FY 2019-20 <br />FY 2020-21 <br />Vaferitln Acting Chief of Police <br />Ana Police Department <br />363,668.40 <br />525,298.68 <br />583,665.06 <br />164,657.70 <br />1,637,289.84 <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Francisco Gutierrez, Executive Director <br />Finance & Mgmt.
