Neither replacement parts nor support for this equipment is <br />available from the manufacturer. It is vital to upgrade the infrastructure making the network more <br />resilient, faster, reliable and secure while ensuring the integrity of the network for the coming <br />years. This particular network equipment connects user computers in City Hall, the Ross Annex, <br />Council Chambers and 24 remote locations including: Recreation Centers, Library's, Police <br />Department and the Jail back to the City's core services and Internet. This purchase will resolve <br />end -of -life obsolescence and provide enhanced network capabilities. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on August 8, 2017 and offers were solicited. A summary <br />of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />309 Vendors were notified <br />32 Vendors downloaded the bid <br />0 Bids received from a Santa Ana vendor <br />8 Bids received <br />Bids were received and opened on August 21, 2017.
