AGENDA ITEM CONSIDERED OUT OF ORDER <br />*Interim City Manager Kurtz, reported a conflict of interest due to her spouse's employment <br />with a waste company and left the Chamber during the deliberation of said item. <br />65B. APPROVAL OF AN ADDITIONAL 30 DAYS TO CONCLUDE THE <br />NEGOTIATION WITH USA WASTE OF CALIFORNIA, INC. {STRATEGIC PLAN <br />NO. 4, 1)- Public Works Agency <br />The following spoke on the matter: <br />• Jeff Snow, representing Rainbow Environmental Services, expressed <br />concerned that Request for Proposal that staff was directed to initiate has <br />not been released. <br />Councilmember Solorio, asked if both parties were interested in extension and <br />how discussions are going. <br />Deputy City Manager Robert Cortez, clarified timeline; indicated that more than <br />90 days needed to review proposals received but will be forthcoming with <br />recommendations. <br />Councilmember Benavides, motion to approve additional 30 -days to conclude <br />the negotiation with USA Waste of California Inc., seconded by Councilmember <br />Solorio. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 21 SEPTEMBER 19, 2017 <br />
