The Circle ensures that youth are provided with: 1. A safe space, 2. <br />Caring Adult mentors, and 3. Opportunities to meaningfully <br />contribute to their community. The Circle ofMentoring model has <br />been the algorithm of success for high -impact, youth driven, <br />community responsive programming for the past 12 years. <br />Your ALA member number, if 0008309 <br />applicable: <br />Please provide us with details about <br />the specific computational thinking <br />and/or computer science education <br />program you will implement during youth Know CS for Civic Engagement Project <br />the grant period, October 2017- <br />September 2018. Name of the CS/CT <br />program you'd like to implement as <br />part of this grant: <br />PHASE L INITIATION (October— December) (8 weeks) <br />Staff Mentor CT/CS Tools Training: Eight 2 hours sessions for 3 <br />week duration. 20 staff. <br />Teen CT/CS + X Teen Program Initiation: Eleven 1.5 hours sessions <br />Seeds To Trees Digital Media Tech Academy (20 Teens) , Youth <br />Know Social Innovation Academy (30 Teens) , Youth Commission <br />(t6 commissioners), Memories of Migration Project (10 Interns) <br />TeenSpace Cooks/Bakes (3 sites/40 youth), Teen Entrepreneurs (2 <br />sites/ 15 youth), Probation Youth Community Service Program (I <br />site/ 8 youth), "Teen Arts, Crafts and Design (3 sites/40 youth), <br />Scholarship Club (2 sites/ 30 youth), Teen Gaming (4 sites/ 40 ,youth) <br />, STeP Skills for Teen/Young Parents (t0 participants). Four 30 <br />minute sessions at the following 4 Teen mentored "Buddy Programs": <br />ABC+123 Buddy (4 sites, 20 Teens, 80 Littles) ; Science, <br />Program description.
