Agreement with the Service Employees International Union <br />December 5, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />3) Medical Insurance Allowance: The City contribution shall be capped using the following <br />allowances towards premiums: <br />Employee Only $654.00 per month <br />Employee + 1 $1,307.00 per month <br />Employee +2 or more $1,700.00 per month <br />4) Vacation: Employees will be allowed to cash out an additional 20 hours per fiscal year <br />(increased from 80 hours to 100 hours) of unused vacation leave benefits. <br />5) Holiday Pay: City observed holidays shall be paid equivalent to the employees' regularly <br />scheduled work hours, except for floating holidays. <br />6) Life Insurance: Group Term Life coverage will be increased from $20,000 to $30,000. <br />7) Call Back Pay: Employees call back to work on a designated City observed Holiday will <br />receive double time for time worked. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #7 - Team Santa Ana, Objective #4, Establish <br />employee compensation that attracts and retains a highly qualified workforce and Objective #6, <br />Provide a positive workplace environment that supports the health of its employees and <br />celebrates its success. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the affected departmental salary accounts (no. 61000).
