Agreement with MS + MEGT for Consulting Architectural Design Services <br />December 5, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />In July 2017, eight proposals were received. The proposals were evaluated by personnel from <br />the Public Works Agency; the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency; and the <br />Planning & Building Agency. Each firm was rated according to its firm/team experience, <br />understanding of need, relevant project experience, schedule, references, and proposed cost <br />and pricing data. Staff <br />requests authorization of a 10 percent design services contingency of $7,555, which results in the <br />total agreement amount not to exceed $83,110. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 - Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (Establish and Maintain a Community Investment Plan for All City <br />Assets), Strategy G (Develop and Implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />Coordination with the Community Investment and Deferred Maintenance Plans). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds have been budgeted and are available for expenditure in the State Resources Agency <br />Grant Fund (Account No. 16113262-66220). Any unspent, encumbered balance will be carried <br />forward into subsequent fiscal years as needed to fulfill the agreement.
