RFCA- CASA MOU Agreement <br />December 19, 2017 <br />pg. 2 <br />3. Health Insurance Contribution: Effective January 1, 2018 the City shall contribute in a monthly <br />amount as follows: <br />Employee <br />up to <br />$654.00 <br />Employee + 1 <br />up to <br />$1,307.00 <br />Family <br />up to <br />$1,700.00 <br />4. Holidays: Adjust current Holiday and Floating Holiday hours to reflect each employee's regular <br />work hours and the addition of one Floating Holiday. Allow employees to take Banked Holiday <br />time off in''/z hour increments. <br />5. Tuition Reimbursement: Increase current Tuition Reimbursement from $2500 to $3500 per <br />fiscal year. <br />6. Sick Leave: Employees who have completed twenty-five (25) years of cumulative service with <br />the City shall be entitled to payment for three—fourths (3/4) of the total sick leave benefit <br />credited to his or her sick leave account upon the effective date of his or her termination, not to <br />exceed a maximum limit of 1,200 hours, at the rate of base pay effective on the date of <br />termination. <br />7. Merit Payment: Effective January 1, 2018, a merit step advance shall be automatically granted <br />ninety (90) days after the due date if no performance appraisal is completed, the effective date <br />of such merit step advance shall be retroactive to the first (1st) day of the month following the <br />completion of the required length of service. <br />8 Part -Time Civil Service Employees: The MOU is modified to include wages and benefits for <br />classifications designate as CASA Part time Civil Service Currently there is one classification, <br />Senior Personnel Analyst designated as CASA-PTCS. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #7 — Team Santa Ana, Objective #4, Establish <br />employee compensation that attracts and retains a highly qualified workforce and Objective #6, <br />Provide a positive workplace environment that supports the health of its employees and <br />celebrates its success. <br />25H-2 <br />
