Exhibit "A". The estimated hours above are calculated based on the number of <br />hours per day multiplied by the number of annual school days. However, <br />Consultant is required to staff the crossing guard positions when the schools modify <br />their schedules to accommodate the academic needs of their students. <br />d. New locations may be added at the City's written request and Consultant will <br />increase the service hours accordingly. In addition, the City may remove crossing <br />guard locations and/or reduce crossing guard hours at a location with a 24-hour <br />notice. <br />C. Consultant will provide all administrative duties associated with the Adult Crossing <br />Guard Program in the City of Santa Ana. <br />f. Consultant will be required to provide for the supervision of all employees <br />associated with conducting the Adult Crossing Guard Program; including the <br />recruitment, hiring, administrative (internal) investigation, discipline and <br />termination of employees. <br />g. Consultant will provide all facilities, vehicles and other associated equipment <br />related to conducting the Adult Crossing Guard Program. Required equipment will <br />include safety-reflectorized vests, stop signs, whistles, rain gear and photo - <br />identification badges. <br />h. Consultant shall provide all employees with equipment that complies with all <br />applicable laws and established safety standards. <br />Consultant agrees to offer employment to the currently employed All City <br />Management Services employees who were previously employed by the City of <br />Santa Ana as Adult School Crossing Guards if they meet the Consultant's hiring <br />requirements. Those employees shall be hired and retained at an hourly rate that is <br />no less than the amount they were paid while employed by the City of Santa Ana. <br />However, these employees shall be subjected to the personnel rules of the <br />Consultant as it relates to step increases, salary caps, and continued employment. <br />The City of Santa Ana makes no representation of employment adequacy of the <br />previously employed employees. Furthermore, the Consultant shall ensure that the <br />previous City employees, at a minimum, meet the conditions of Section III, <br />Subsection 13 of the Consultant's proposal as well as the Consultant's hiring and <br />retention policy. If the current employee meets the hiring and retention criteria of <br />the Consultant, they shall be offered employment with the proposer at their current <br />salary. <br />Consultant shall arrange for and provide all substitute employees, ensuring that all <br />designated locations are staffed during the required time periods. Consultant shall <br />contact the Santa Ana Police Department immediately if a position cannot be filled <br />by the Contractor. The Santa Ana Police Department will staff that position and bill <br />Consultant for the period of time spent covering that post in accordance with the <br />Miscellaneous Fee Schedule. <br />Page 2 of 10 <br />r <br />
