deployed and Is provided for proposal evaluation purposes only <br />The successful contractor shall perform the following scope of work for the preparation, <br />painting and coating of the East Pump Station and Well 26 discharge piping. The exterior of <br />the East Pump Station and Well 26 discharge piping will be prepared for painting in <br />accordance with AWWA Standard C210. All loose and flaking material that is removed shall <br />be captured and disposed of properly and not allowed to spread or fall onsite. Prior to <br />application of coating, the Contractor shall notify the City for inspection and approval. Upon <br />approval, the Contractor will apply a base coat and one finish of coat of epoxy coating. Final <br />color shall be approved by the City, The final dry thickness of the epoxy coating shall be a <br />minimum of 16 pm or the manufacturer's recommendations, whichever is thicker. Prior to <br />acceptance of the coating and painting, the piping shall be visually field 'inspected per AWWA <br />C210 as well as pass an electrical inspection for continuity. <br />QUALIFICATION <br />The bidder, at time of bid submittal and through the term of the contract, shall possess the <br />correct occupational and/or professional license necessary to carry out and perform the work <br />required pursuant to all applicable federal, State, and Local laws, statues, ordinances, rules, <br />and regulations. <br />A list of minimum of three (3) references, including municipality name and address, contact <br />name, and phone number, for municipal customers receiving similar services are required in <br />this Invitation for Bid must be submitted with each bid. References must be located in Los <br />Angeles County, Orange County, or Inland Empire. These references shall be used in the <br />evaluation of this bid to determine award. <br />DISTRIBUTION OF WORK <br />The Contractor(s) selected for this work or other future work to be determined shall provide <br />written estimates for any work requested. If multiple Contractors have been awarded a <br />contract, the lowest responsive bid amongst the selected Contractors shall be awarded the <br />corresponding job order. No work shall be allowed to proceed until authorized by the Water <br />Production Principal Civil Engineer or his designee. Any material proposals for the painting <br />and piping shall be identified in the requested estimate. Upon approval, full material submittals <br />shall be provided for review and approval from the Water Production Division. Submittals shall <br />include Safety and Data Sheets, manufacturer's application instructions and manufacturer's <br />product specifications. The manufacturer's product specifications shall clearly identify <br />conformance with AWWA standards. <br />PREVAILING WAGE <br />The Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California has <br />ascertained the prevailing rate of per diem wages in dollars, based on a working day of <br />eight hours, for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute any <br />construction or maintenance contract, which may be awarded by Public Works. The <br />current prevailing wage rates as adopted by the Director of the Department of Industrial <br />Relations are Incorporated herein by reference and may be accessed at <br />http://www.dir.ca.gov/. <br />
