The Contractor Is required to pay the prevailing wage rate referred to above and is <br />responsible for selecting the classification of workers which will be required to perform <br />this service in accordance with the Contractor's method of performing the work. <br />Pursuant to Section 1775 of the Labor Code (State of California) Contractor shall <br />forfeit $50 for each calendar day, or portion thereof, for each worker paid less than <br />the stipulated prevailing wage rates for any public work done under this Contract or by <br />any subcontractor. <br />
