Agreement with PlaceWorks to provide an Environmental Assessment <br />Recreational Value Assessment and other Documents for the <br />National Park Service <br />March 20, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br />Community College to determine if additional land is needed to be considered an equal <br />exchange. Additionally, the NPS has requested the final document incorporate all the prior <br />assessments into the new document for one all-encompassing document for NPS to review. <br />Therefore, City Staff is requesting to enter into an agreement with Placeworks in order to <br />complete the work that remained from the previous agreement and to incorporate the additional <br />materials requested by the National Park Service. <br />Costs associated with this project will be reimbursed by Santa Ana College. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #5 — Community Health, Livability, Engagement <br />& Sustainability, Objective #4 (Support neighborhood vitality and livability), Strategy A (Support <br />the design and construction of parks to provide increased open space and opportunities for <br />recreation throughout the city, construct the Roosevelt Walker Park and Community Center, and <br />develop concepts and proposals for the Library Park in Civic Center and Centennial Santa Ana <br />River Eco -Park). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Costs associated with this project will be reimbursed by Santa Ana College.
