COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Hitterdale <br /> Reported that renowned author, Phillip K. Dick, owned a home on Civic Center; would <br />like to commemorate his time in the city. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rush <br /> Congratulated the applicant. <br /> Asked if the Dr. Julius A. Crane House is listed for sale. <br />o Staff will research. <br /> Inquired on the status of the YMCA building. <br />o Staff indicated the project is currently on hold. <br /> Announced opposition to the 2525 North Main Street project; would like the <br />Commission to proclaim opposition to the project. <br />o Commission consensus was reached and will be added to the next agenda. <br /> Inquired about the historical properties fee waiver. <br />o Staff indicated the City is undergoing a fee study; City’s position is to recover <br />100% of the cost. <br /> <br />Commissioner Murashie <br /> Thanked staff and welcomed new Assistant Planner, Pedro Gomez <br /> <br />Vice Chair Schaefer <br /> Welcomed new Assistant Planner, Pedro Gomez. <br /> Wished everyone Happy Holidays. <br />Commissioner Hardy <br /> Expressed concern with the rehabilitation of the fire station; asked if staff working with <br />Public Works Agency to preserve historic materials. <br />o Staff reported that the Public Works Agency will need to obtain a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness for any modifications to the building.
