Description: (Describe resource and its major elements. Include design, materials, condition, alterations, size, setting, and boundaries.)
Located on the east side of North Poinsettia Street, the building is a one story, single-family residence constructed in the
Minimal Traditional style. Irregular in plan, the building primarily has a low -pitch hipped roof with the exception of the attached
garage at the north elevation, which has a gabled roof. The roof has little to no eaves, and is clad in contemporary asphalt
shingle roofing. The exterior is clad in wide horizontal lapped siding, with a brick chimney at the south elevation. The chimney
is an alteration constructed in 1949. The primary entry is a paneled wood door with a Hollywood Regency style metal awning
and a simple, Classical surround consisting of fluted pilasters. The west (front) elevation is dominated by two, two -over -two
double -hung wood windows with speedline sashes that appear to be original. One of the windows is flanked by decorative
wood shutters. The rectangular parcel is landscaped with several mature trees, with lawn and low vegetation at the front
setback, and a simple poured concrete driveway that leads to the garage. The building and overall property is in good
condition. Despite a one-story addition at the east elevation, the building retains sufficient integrity to convey its original
design.
*P3b. Resource Attributes: (list attributes and codes) HP2.
