I live in Floral Park <br />where the visible uptick in homelessness can no longer be ignored. The homeless are using our city and our <br />neighborhoods, parks, bus stops and anywhere they can squat, for public indecency, urination, deification and drug use. <br />I cannot take my children to any local parks for fear that they may become infected with a contaminated needle or <br />exposed to human waste. The situation in our city is dire and is completely unacceptable. Our city and elected officials <br />have kowtowed to other Orange County communities for too long, making us the doormat for all of the counties <br />problems.
