Carter and other Orange County Leaders, I have lived in Santa
Ana for 70 years and I am outraged that the other cities in Orange County are refusing to assist in the
homeless crisis. Like Irvine, Laguna Niguel, and every other city, our children deserve a safe walk to
school. We deserve clean parks and public areas, and we deserve the same consideration for how
the homeless population affects our day-to-day lives. One city should not carry the burden of an
entire county. Please represent me and the thousands of other tax -paying, voting, and law-abiding
citizens of Santa Ana by showing your support in this matter.
As a senior citizen I do not feel safe in my home, walking the neighborhood, visiting a park, going to
the Civic Center or library because of the huge population of homeless. Santa Ana has continued to
collect the less fortunate/undesirable population who have turned our city into an embarrassing place
to live. The homeless situation here is a crisis. We desperately need your help to resolve this.
Please represent me and the thousands of other tax -paying, voting, and law-abiding citizens of Santa
Ana by showing your support in this matter.
Sincerely,
Janet Pekarek

Jan
■
