Kendrick #257 Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 01/31/20 Date: 02/03/2020 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: MERCADO, MIGUEL SEGURA <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE/ SCENE <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at approximately 0012 hours, Orange County District <br />Attorney (OCDA) Supervising Investigator BRAD TANNER contacted me regarding an officer <br />involved shooting (OIS) involving the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). TANNER requested <br />that I respond to the Serena Vista Apartment complex, located at <br /> to assist with the investigation. <br />At approximately 0125 hours, I arrived at the incident location and met with investigators <br />from the OCDA, and the Fountain Valley Police Department (FVPD), who were also present to <br />assist in the investigation. <br />At approximately 0201 hours, SAPD Sergeant CLINT ACHZIGER, #2978, and FVPD Sergeant <br />BRIAN MOSHER, #273, conducted a briefing of the known circumstances surrounding the incident <br />for the investigators involved.
