S.A. 12‐022 <br />Investigator:  TOM CONKLIN Approved  By: <br />Date of Report: 10/03/12 Date:10/03/12 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />ORANGE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE <br />BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION <br />INTERVIEW REPORT <br /> <br />CASE NAME: ALMANZA, MARCELINO VALENCIA <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING  (NON‐FATAL) <br />INTERVIEW OF:            D.O.B.  <br />  <br />  STREET <br />SANTA ANA, CA <br />  <br />CELL PHONE: (714)  <br />  <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />DATE AND TIME: SEPTEMBER 10, 2012 0850 HOURS <br />LOCATION: TELEPHONIC INTERVIEW <br />On the above date and time, I conducted a telephonic audio digital recorded  interview of <br /> in reference to the officer involved shooting incident involving <br />MARCELINO ALMANZA.  The following is a  summary of the interview. <br />On Sunday, September 09, 2012, at approximately 2320 hours,   was inside his <br />living room watching television and heard a loud heated conversation including a male voice <br />saying “no, no”, then heard (2) gunshots.  Less than a minute later he heard 2‐3 more gunshots <br />then it went silent.    got up off the couch and  called 911 immediately.   said the <br />officers started to arrive on the scene as he was still on the phone to 911. <br />  ran upstairs to the guest bedroom where his mother‐in‐law is staying in order to <br />check on her.   looked out the guest room west facing window which overlooks the south <br />alley of 3005 South Bristol Street.    estimated he looked out the window approximately 2‐
