S.A. 13-017 <br />Investigator: ED WOOD Approved By: <br />Date of Report:10/31/2013 Date: 11/27/2013 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: ARELLANO, HANS KEVIN <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (FATAL) <br />INTERVIEW OF: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />PRESENT: PATRICIA NAVARRO, DETECTIVE <br />SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />DATE AND TIME: AUGUST 7, 2013 0955-1001 HOURS <br />LOCATION: ORANGE COUNTY CENTRAL MENS JAIL – ATTORNEY BONDS <br />550 NORTH FLOWER STREET <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA 92701 <br />On the above date and time, I conducted an audio digital recorded interview of <br /> , regarding the officer involved shooting incident of HANS KEVIN ARELLANO. <br />At the time of the interview, was in custody at the Orange County, Central Men’s Jail. <br />The following is a summary of the interview: <br />On July 30, 2013, at approximately 1430 hours, was walking out of Nady’s <br />liquor store just west of the McDonalds Restaurant on the northwest corner of South Harbor <br />Boulevard and West McFadden Avenue, in the city of Santa Ana. As was walking out <br />of the liquor store, he heard ARELLANO call his friend, a “fag.” responded <br />back to ARELLANO and made a derogatory comment to him, but did not recall what he said. <br />ARELLANO walked up to and they both met on the sidewalk adjacent to <br />Nady’s liquor store.
