<br />COMMISSION
<br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the
<br />public to participate in the decision-
<br />making process.The following notice
<br />is being provided so that you can ask
<br />questions,make comments and stay
<br />informed about projects that might be
<br />important to you.We encourage you to
<br />contact us prior to the Public Hearing if
<br />you have any questions.
<br />Planning Commission Action -The
<br />Planning Commission will hold a Public
<br />Hearing to receive public testimony,and
<br />will take action on the application for
<br />Conditional Use Permit No.2019-09 as
<br />described below.The Planning
<br />Commission decision is final unless
<br />appealed within 10 days of the decision
<br />by any interested party or group.
<br />What is the Proposed Project?–The
<br />applicant currently operates an existing
<br />eating establishment (Café Cultura)
<br />located at 324 West Fourth Street,Unit B
<br />and is proposing to expand operations
<br />into the adjacent suite,Unit A (formerly
<br />known as The Barrel Room).The
<br />applicant is requesting approval of
<br />Conditional Use Permit No.2019-09 to
<br />modify an existing Conditional Use Permit
<br />granted to Unit A to sell alcoholic
<br />beverages for on-premise consumption.
<br />The modification will allow the sale of
<br />alcoholic beverages for on-premise
<br />consumption (Type 41 –Beer and Wine)
<br />to expand from Unit A to Unit B.In
<br />addition,the applicant is proposing to
<br />provide a 609-square foot enclosed
<br />outdoor patio facing Fourth Street;the
<br />proposed patio area will be enclosed with
<br />a 42-inch high metal railing.The proposed
<br />project is located in Specific Development
<br />84 zoning district.
<br />Environmental Impact -In accordance
<br />with the California Quality Environmental
<br />Act (CEQA),the proposed project is
<br />categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA
<br />Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3)-No
<br />Significant Effect on the Environment.
<br />Categorical Exemption ER No.2019-19
<br />will be filed for this project.
<br />Meeting Date,Time and Location -This
<br />matter will be heard onMonday,March
<br />25,2019 at 5:30 p.m.in the City Council
<br />Chambers,22 Civic Center Plaza,Santa
<br />Ana,California 92701.All persons
<br />interested in this matter are notified to
