Hall <br />None <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend Richard Bush, First United Presbyterian Church. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />September 6, 1960, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved <br />on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried. <br /> <br /> Bid acceptance <br />Construct Sanitary Sewer <br />Susan Street <br />i Project S-27 <br /> <br />tabulation of bids was presented for the construction of a sanitary sewer in <br /> <br />Susan ~treet, between Talbert Avenue and Segerstrom Avenue~ Project 8-27~ as loll( <br /> <br />West Coast Sewer Company <br />Plumbing Contractors, Inc. <br />Barkley Pipeline Construction, Inc. <br />Orange County Construction Co. <br />de Leon Construction Company <br /> <br />Total Bond <br />$1~,655.96 lO~ <br />~,746.~o lO% <br />15,230.40 10% <br />B4,699.B6 <br />18,318.76 10% <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Gould, seconded by Brewer and csrried, the lowest and best <br /> <br />bid of Plumbing Contractors, Inc. was accepted at the unit prices and ~n the total <br /> <br />"Tustin and Seventeenth <br /> N. E. Annex" <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />amount of $12,7~6.20, and all other bids rejected. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of <br /> <br />approximately 37 acres located at the northeast corner of Seventeenth Street and <br /> <br />Tustin Avenue; protest was read from Tustin Water Works, protesting annexation of <br /> <br />real property consisting of 7200 square feet more or less and assessed at $3~180.0( <br /> <br />upon the value of the land and improvements thereon. On motion of Cotuncilman <br /> <br />Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the protest was received and filed. <br /> <br />The Director of ~Public Works orally stated the protest is apprOXimately 2-1/2% of <br /> <br />the total assessed valuation, or less than 50% required by Statute. The hearing <br /> <br />was closed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br /> <br />Council finds there are insufficient protests, and the following Ordinance entitle~ <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory <br />designated 'Tustin and Seventeenth N. E. Annex'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
