<br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />MARCH 19, 2007 <br />TITLE <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1 sl Reading <br />D Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH <br />THE NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT <br />AND CODE ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />~ <br />. <br /><: <br />MANAG <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Adopt a resolution establishing the Neighborhood Improvement and Code <br />Enforcement Committee. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />On February 5, <br />creating the <br />Public Safety, <br /> <br />2007, the City Council modified its committee structure by <br />following four Committees: Development, Transportation, <br />and, Parks, Recreation, Education and Youth. <br /> <br />In order to facilitate in-depth review and discussion of key priority <br />issues related to neighborhood improvement, it is recommended that the <br />City Council reestablish the Neighborhood Improvement and Code Enforcement <br />(NICE) Committee as a fifth Council Committee. The NICE committee shall <br />consist of three Councilmembers as determined and appointed by the Mayor. <br />Members shall serve on the committee for a two year term. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br /> <br />55A-1 <br />
