APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />. Minutes of June 6, 2007 and July 30, 2007 approved as presented <br /> <br />2. JOINT USE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT CONCEPTS <br />Staff indicated the State has not approved the State's budget. Part of this approval is the <br />proposed distribution of Proposition 84 funding. The funding distribution also includes a <br />category for agencies that have Joint Use Projects with school districts. In preparation of this <br />release staff is proposing to present to the school district the following three projects: <br /> <br />a. Field Improvement at Spurgeon Intermediate <br />On August 6, 1973, the City of Santa Ana and the Santa Ana Unified School District <br />entered into an agreement for sports lighting and various improvements on Spurgeon <br />Intermediate School for joint-use of the sports facilities and playground area. <br /> <br />Lighting requirements have changed and current sports lighting system need to be <br />upgraded in addition to the installation of new lighting on the football/soccer field. The <br />City is proposing the construction of a public restroom building to serve as a multi-use <br />facility with the School, Park, and the SA River trail users. The Park's playground <br />needs to be completely renovated.
