• <br />GAS: 6/23/99 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-~5 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 99-10, TO <br />INSTALL A 60 FOOT CELLULAR MONOPALM <br />ANTENNA LOCATED AT 2802 SOUTH FLOWER <br />STREET <br />WHEREAS, Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-198.3 (b) <br />requires a conditional use permit for major wireless facilities in <br />the City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Commission held a public hearing on June 28, <br />1999, on Conditional Use Permit No. 99-T0, to install a 60 foot <br />cellular monopalm antenna located at 2802 South Flower Street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing this Council finds and determines as follows: <br />A. Will the proposed use provide a service or facility that will <br />contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or <br />the community? <br />The extended height will enhance the cellular provider <br />service to the customers within the southwest region of <br />the city. In addition the cellular network provides an <br />emergency communication system to be utilized when <br />ground communication are disrupted. <br />B. Will the proposed use, under the circumstances of the <br />particular case, be detrimental to the health, safety or <br />general welfare of persons residing or working in the <br />vicinity? <br />The construction of the existing monopole facility <br />compiles with all applicable federal, state and local <br />regulations. The site is located more than 140 feet <br />from residential development. The stealth design and <br />the landscape upgrades are designed to improve the <br />existing screening thereby, enhancing the pedestrian <br />and neighborhood views. <br />1 <br />
