<br />1109.16 General. Where Electric Vehicle Charging
<br />Stations are provided, all charging stations shall be
<br />provided in accordance with this section and
<br />applicable portions of ICC A117.1.
<br />1109.16.1 Existing facilities. Where Electric Vehicle
<br />Charging Stations are either added or altered within a
<br />facility having existing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations,
<br />the requirements this section shall apply only to the
<br />newly installed or altered Electric Vehicle Charging
<br />Stations.
<br />1109.16.2 Minimum number. Where Electric Vehicle
<br />Charging Stations are provided for public use, the
<br />minimum number of accessible Electric Vehicle Charging
<br />Stations shall be provided in accordance with Table
<br />1109.16.2. Where new Electric Vehicle Charging
<br />Stations are installed in facilities with existing Electric
<br />Vehicle Charging Stations, the total number provided in
<br />Table 1109.16.2 shall include both existing and new
<br />Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. Where an Electric
<br />Vehicle Charging Station charger can simultaneously
<br />charge more than one vehicle, the number of Electric
<br />Vehicle Charging Station chargers provided shall be
<br />considered equivalent to the number of electric vehicles
<br />that can be simultaneously charged.
<br />Parking spaces serving Electric Vehicle Charging
<br />Stations per this section shall not account for any of the
<br />accessible parking spaces (as required by Section 1106)
<br />on the site unless specifically provided with accessible
<br />identification signage per Section 1109.16.6.
<br />Exception:

<br />section. Examples include, but are not limited to,
<br />charging stations serving public or private fleet vehicles,
