Temporary Construction Cylinder Keying. <br />1) Provide construction cores that permit voiding construction keys without cylinder <br />removal, furnished in accordance with the following requirements. <br />a) Split Key or Lost Ball Construction Keying System. <br />b) 3 construction control keys, and extractor tools or keys as required to void <br />construction keying. <br />c) 12 construction change (day) keys. <br />2) Owner or Owner’s Representative will void operation of temporary construction <br />keys. <br />b. Replaceable Construction Cores. <br />1) Provide temporary construction cores replaceable by permanent cores, furnished <br />in accordance with the following requirements. <br />a) 3 construction control keys <br />b) 12 construction change (day) keys. <br />2) Owner or Owner’s Representative will replace temporary construction cores with <br />permanent cores. <br />2. Permanent Keying: <br />a. Provide permanent cylinders/cores keyed by the manufacturer according to the <br />following key system. <br />1) Master Keying system as directed by the Owner. <br />b. Forward bitting list and keys separately from cylinders, by means as directed by <br />Owner. Failure to comply with forwarding requirements will be cause for <br />replacement of cylinders/cores involved at no additional cost to Owner. <br />c. Provide keys with the following features: <br />1) Material: Nickel silver; minimum thickness of .107-inch (2.3mm)
