CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br /> PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />9 <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 16-30 (f) will ensure that construction and demolition waste <br />generated within the City can be accounted for and recycled. The ordinance states the following, <br />“Any person with whom the City has an agreement for the collection, transportation and <br />disposal of construction and demolition solid waste which has accumulated and/or been <br />generated at a temporary construction site may haul such waste during the term of such <br />agreement.” <br />The only companies approved by the City Council to haul temporary construction and <br />demolition material in the City of Santa Ana are: <br /> Ware Disposal Company, Inc. <br />1018 N. Lincoln Avenue <br />Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Phone Number: (714) 834-0234 <br /> Waste Management <br />1800 South Grand <br />Santa Ana, Ca 92705 <br />Phone Number: (714) 558-7761 <br /> <br />Contractors shall contact one of the above companies to arrange for the collection and recycling <br />of construction debris. <br />Persons who generate solid waste on the premises may personally collect, transport, and dispose <br />of their own solid waste providing that they do so in accordance with all governing laws and <br />regulations and dispose of such solid waste at a site permitted by the California Integrated Waste <br />Management Board. <br />3-12.2 Air Pollution Control <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />All organic solvents used must comply with the rules, regulations and orders of the South Coast <br />Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) relating to organic solvents. <br />3-12.3 Noise Control <br />The Contractor shall comply with all local sound control and noise level rules, regulations and <br />ordinances which apply to any work performed pursuant to the contract. Each internal <br />combustion engine, used for any purpose on the job or related to the job, shall be equipped with a <br />muffler of a type recommended by the Manufacturer. The noise level from th e Contractor's <br />operations shall not exceed 95 dba at a distance of 50 feet. This requirement in no way relieves <br />the Contractor from responsibility for complying with local ordinances regulating noise level. <br />The said noise level requirements shall apply to all equipment on the job or related to the job, <br />including but not limited to trucks, transit mixers, or transient equipment that may or may not be <br />owned the Contractor. The use of loud signals shall be avoided in favor of light warnings, <br />except those required by safety laws for the protection of personnel. <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
