CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br /> PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />17 <br />6-6 SUSPENSION OF THE WORK <br />6-6.1 General <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Should suspension of work be ordered by reason of the failure of the contractor to carry out <br />orders or to perform any provisions of the contract; or by reason of weather conditions being <br />unsuitable for performing any item or items of work; the contractor, at its expense, shall do all <br />the work necessary to provide a safe, smooth, and unobstructed passageway through construction <br />for use by public traffic during the period of such suspension. In the event that the contractor <br />fails to perform the work above specified, the City will perform such work and the cost thereof <br />will be deducted from payment due or to become due to the contractor. <br />If a suspension of work is ordered by the Engineer, due to the failure on the part of the contractor <br />to carry out orders given or to perform any provision of the contract, the days on which the <br />suspension order is in effect shall be considered working days. <br />SECTION 7 - MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />7-2 LUMP SUM WORK <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Contractor shall submit for approval a schedule of values for all lump sum work. Failure to <br />submit may delay payment for said work. <br />7-3 PAYMENT <br />7-3.1 General <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Payment for any items of work required by the plans, specifications or other contract documents, <br />which are not covered by a contract bid item, shall be considered as included in other items and <br />no additional compensation shall be paid therefore. <br />7-3.4 Mobilization <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Mobilization shall consist of preparatory work and operations including, but not limited to, those <br />necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site. <br />Mobilization shall additionally include the establishment of any temporary facilities, utilities, <br />construction fencing and barricades, and the provision and installation of project signs. <br />A minimum of one week before the start of construction, the Contractor shall video all areas <br />where construction is to take place. The video shall be supplied to the Engineer before <br />constructions begins. Videos will serve as a record of the existing conditions for disputes that <br />may arise from restoration and should therefore be taken along the line of construction and site <br />access and staging areas at sufficient detail as necessary to clearly depict details of existing <br />conditions. Videos shall be a DVD or digital, in color, indexed and catalogued in such a manner <br />that each photographed area is readily identifiable and shall also indicate the date and time <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
