All wiring to be continuous without splices from the remote control valve to the <br />moisture sensor. <br />d. The moisture sensor shall be wired in parallel with station solenoids so the <br />moisture data is transmitted over the same wires that are used to operate the <br />station solenoids. <br />e. There shall be no additional wires run from the valve to the irrigation controller. <br />f. The choice of groups of stations controlled by the same sensor is done solely <br />within the computer program so there is no additional wire run between valves to <br />form station groups. <br />L. PHONE MODEM <br />The internal telephone modem shall be 100% Hayes compatible and operate at a 1200 <br />Baud rate. The modem shall be factory modified to provide monitoring of the <br />telecommunication to prevent lock-up "due to power failure." The modem shall be <br />factory-modified to provide electrical power for a line amplifier (Calsense LA-2). <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for the installation cost of the phone connection <br />for any required phone modem for the irrigation system. <br />M. AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER <br />1. Automatic controllers as assembled by Hydroscope shall be of size and type <br />shown on the plans. <br />2. Install as per manufacturer's instructions. Remote control valves shall be <br />connected to controller in numerical sequence as shown on the drawings. <br />N. ELECTRICAL CONTROL VALVES <br />1. Electric control valves shall be as called for on legend. <br />2. Control valve boxes shall be 9-1/2"x16"x11 rectangular structural plastic box with <br />green bolt-down cover, Carson Industries #1419-12B, or approved equal. <br />O. SPRINKLER HEADS <br />Sprinkler heads shall be of type, size and location as noted and indicated on the <br />drawings. <br />P.
