CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br />PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />126 <br />PRODUCTS: <br />5.02.10 MANUFACTURERS <br />A. Soil Amendments and Fertilizers: Design of soil amendments and fertilizers is based <br />on Gro-Power products manufactured by Southern California Organic Fertilizer <br />Company, or approved equal. <br />B. Manufacturer: Materials shall be the product of one manufacturer and shall be either <br />the ones upon which the design is based or the products of a manufacturer accepted in <br />advance. <br />5.02.11 MATERIALS <br />A. IMPORTED TOPSOIL <br />1. Provide natural, fertile, friable soil free from stones, noxious seeds, weeds, roots, <br />subsoil or other material detrimental to normal plant growth. <br />2. Obtain imported topsoil from local sources acceptable to Engineer. <br />3. Silt plus clay content of soil shall not exceed 15 percent by weight with a <br />minimum 95 percent passing a 2.0 millimeter sieve. <br />4. Samples of the import soil shall be submitted to the Agency approv ed soils testing <br />laboratory for analysis, interpretation, and recommendations prior to blending or <br />backfilling. <br />B. FERTILIZER/SOIL CONDITIONER <br />1. Provide commercial fertilizer, uniform in composition, free- flowing, suitable for <br />application with approved equipment, and delivered to site in unopened <br />containers, each fully labeled according to applicable fertilizer laws, and bearing <br />the name or mark of the manufacturer. Gro-Power Plus, or equal. <br />2. Provide 16-6-8, 12-12-12, 12-8-8, and 17-13-5, as indicated on the Agronomy <br />Report. <br />C. ORGANIC SOIL AMENDMENT <br />1. Provide nitrogen stabilized organic amendment derived from redwood sawdust, <br />fir sawdust or finely ground bark. <br />2. Provide organic soil amendments in accordance with the Agronomy Report. <br />D. OTHER MATERIALS: <br /> Pre-Planting Herbicide: Round-Up, or approved equal. <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
