CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br />PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />203 <br />9.03 INSPECTIONS <br />At the time of electrical inspections, the Contractor shall make available a complete set of <br />working drawings showing progress to date and detail variations from the plans. All <br />variations must have prior approval of the Engineer. <br />9.04 MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP <br />Materials and workmanship, unless indicated or specified otherwise, shall be in strict <br />conformity with standards of the latest editions including revisions of the Electrical Code <br />of the County, National Electric Code (2010) of the National Board of Fire Underwriters, <br />CAL/OSHA, Electrical Safety Orders, and the Standards of the National Electrical <br />Manufacturers Association. Nothing in these plans or specifications shall be construed to <br />permit work bellow the standards of these ordinances and those of OSHA. After <br />acceptance of the contract, all work found which does not conform or comply with the <br />applicable code shall be brought into conformance at no cost to the Agency. <br />9.05 PROPOSED SUBSTITUTIONS AND “OR EQUAL” <br />Equipment and wiring shown on the Plans is for materials as specified. Should <br />equipment of other manufacturers be approved for use, the Contractor shall make all <br />changes in other equipment, conduit, wiring, or location of equipment that may be <br />required due to design or space allotment, as approved by the Engineer, without charge to <br />the Agency. <br />It is the Contractor’s responsibility to show that all products proposed for substitution are <br />equal to the specified item by submitting sufficient information to permit a comparative <br />check. The term “equal” shall mean that the product or material offered shall have <br />equivalent or more value to the Agency based on the value of the item set forth in the <br />specifications or on the Plans, and then only after the Contractor’s written submittal has <br />been approved in writing. If, after installation, substituted equipment is found to be not <br />equal to that specified, that equipment shall be replaced with approved item(s) at no cost <br />to the Agency. <br />9.06 DRAWINGS PERFORMANCE <br />All scale dimensions are approximate. Before proceeding with any work, the Contractor <br />shall check and verify all locations and dimensions of equipment at the site of work. <br />All work specified, but not clearly defined by the drawings, must be installed as directed <br />by the Engineer in a manner satisfactory to him. Work covered by notes on drawings <br />must be furnished and installed, whether or not it is specifically mentioned in these <br />specifications. <br />The contract Drawings indicated the extent and general arrangement of the new existing <br />equipment, conduit and wiring systems, and essentially diagrammatic. The drawings <br />indicate the required sizes and points of termination of conduits and wires and routes to <br />to avoid obstructions and provided clearance; necessary offsets, etc., and t shall be the <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
