CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br />PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />205 <br />Upon completion of the work and final inspections, one mylar and two blueprints of <br />the record (As-Built) information shall be delivered to the Engineer. The Engineer’s <br />approval of record drawings is a condition of approval of final payment. <br />9.08 COVERING OF UNINSPECTED WORK-NOTIFICATIONS FOR INSPECTIONS <br />The Contractor shall notify Engineer 48 hours (two working days) prior to required <br />inspections. No work shall be covered prior to inspections. <br />9.09 CLEANING EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS <br />The Contractor shall thoroughly clean all fixtures, exposed piping, apparatus and <br />equipment installed under its Contract. Parts which are to be painted shall be thoroughly <br />cleaned of cement, plaster, etc., brushed with steel brush to remove rust, etc. cleaned and <br />painted. <br />All dirt, rubbish, paint spots, or grease on walls, walks, poles, equipment, or fixtures, for <br />which the Contractor is responsible, shall be removed by the Contractor and the premises <br />left in first-class condition. <br />All rubbish resulting from work shall be cleaned up and removed daily from the site by <br />the Contractor; also from time to time during construction, and when so directed by the <br />Engineer. <br />9.10 TESTS <br />This Contractor shall make all tests required by the Engineer, the Electrical Inspection <br />Department of the Agency, or other authorities having jurisdiction. <br />The cost of all tests, repairing of all damage resulting from these tests, replacement of <br />equipment and materials including labor and other necessary work, due to <br />nonconformance with the Electrical Ordinances, Safety Orders, these specifications and <br />accompanying drawings, shall be borne by the Contractor. <br />Should the Contractor refuse or neglect to make any tests necessary to satisfy the <br />Engineer that the work has been performed in accordance with the true intent and <br />meaning of the contract documents, the Agency may make such tests and charge the <br />expense to the Contractor, and retain the cost of testing from the final payment to the <br />Contractor. <br />All wiring and connections shall be tested for continuity, grounds and short circuits <br />before the devices and equipment are connected. Upon completion of the work, the <br />Contractor shall demonstrate to the Engineer the satisfactory operation of the entire <br />electrical systems(s). At the time of the final inspection, the Contractor shall have a <br />qualified electrician at the job site to make all required tests or demonstrate operation of <br />electrical equipment and lighting system(s). <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
