Nonresidential Projects: Provide weather-resistant exterior wall and <br />foundation envelope including prevention of landscape irrigation spray on <br />structures (if any) and prevent water intrusion at exterior entries. <br />b. Residential Projects: Seal openings and penetrations in building envelope <br />Construction Waste: <br />c. Provide construction waste management plan as defined by CALGreen with <br />demolition and construction waste diverted from landfill by recycling or <br />salvage for reuse. <br />d. Nonresidential Projects Building Maintenance and Operation: Provide for <br />commissioning requirements as required by CALGreen including but not <br />limited to testing, documentation and training, testing and adjusting. <br />e. Residential Projects Building Maintenance and Operation: Provide operation <br />and maintenance data as required by CALGreen. <br />4. Nonresidential Projects Environmental Quality: Comply with following as adopted <br />by authorities having jurisdiction and as applicable to Project. <br />a. Fireplaces: Comply with requirement for fireplaces (if any) to be direct-vent <br />sealed-combustion gas type or sealed wood-burning fireplace, woodstove, or <br />pellet stove. <br />b. Mechanical Equipment Pollution Control: Cover duct and related air <br />distribution component openings to prevent dust and debris accumulation. <br />c. Finish Material Pollution Control: Comply with CALGreen requirements for <br />volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions including but not necessarily <br />limited to following (as applicable): <br />1) Adhesives, sealants and caulks. <br />2) Paints and coatings. <br />3) Carpet systems including carpet, carpet cushion, and adhesives. <br />4) Resilient flooring systems. <br />5) Composite wood products formaldehyde limitations. <br />d. Filters: Comply with requirements for mechanically ventilated buildings to <br />have air filtration media for outside and return air prior to occupancy. <br />e. Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) Control: Comply with CALGreen <br />requirements for ETS. <br />f. Interior Moisture Control: Comply with California Building Code requirements <br />and CALGreen requirements for vapor retarder at concrete slab foundations <br />and capillary break (aggregate base). <br />g. Building Material Moisture Content: Do not use water damaged building <br />materials, remove and place wet and high moisture content insulation, and <br />do not enclose wall or floor framing when moisture content exceeds 19%. <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
