Temporary Heating and Cooling: Provide temporary heating and cooling required by <br />construction activities for curing or drying of completed installations or for protecting installed <br />construction from adverse effects of low temperatures or high humidity. Select equipment that <br />will not have a harmful effect on completed installations or elements being installed. <br />1. Provide temporary dehumidification systems when required to reduce ambient and <br />substrate moisture levels to level required to allow installation or application of finishes <br />and their proper curing or drying. <br />G. Isolation of Work Areas in Occupied Facilities: Prevent dust, fumes, and odors from entering <br />owner equipment occupied IDF and MDF rooms. <br />1. Upon installation of owner equipment, isolate the HVAC system in area where work is to <br />be performed. <br />a. Maintain negative air pressure within work area using HEPA-equipped air- <br />filtration units, starting with commencement of temporary partition construction, <br />and continuing until completion of construction. <br />2. Maintain dust partitions during the Work. Use vacuum collection attachments on dust- <br />producing equipment. Isolate limited work within occupied areas using portable dust- <br />containment devices. <br />3. Perform daily construction cleanup and final cleanup using approved, HEPA-filter- <br />equipped vacuum equipment. <br />H. Electric Power Service: Provide electric power service and distribution system of sufficient size, <br />capacity, and power characteristics required for construction operations. <br /> <br />1. Install electric power service underground, unless overhead service must be used. <br />2. Where power distribution wiring is required by circumstances to be overhead, arrange it <br />to rise vertically where least exposed to damage. <br />3. Connect temporary service to new electrical transformer as directed by electric company <br />officials. <br />I. Lighting: Provide temporary lighting with local switching that provides adequate illumination <br />for construction operations, observations, inspections, and traffic conditions. <br />1. Install and operate temporary lighting that fulfills security and protection requirements <br />without operating entire system. <br />J. Telephone Service: Provide temporary telephone service in common-use facilities for use by all <br />construction personnel. Install WiFi cell phone access equipment and one land-based telephone <br />line(s) for each field office. <br />K. Electronic Communication Service: Provide temporary electronic communication service, <br />including electronic mail and internet access, in common-use facilities. <br />
