Concrete Standards: Comply with provisions of the following standards, except where more <br />stringent requirements are indicated. <br />1. American Concrete Institute (ACI) 301, "Specifications for Structural Concrete for <br />Buildings." <br />2. ACI 318, "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete." <br />3. Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) "Manual of Standard Practice." <br />4. Standard specifications for PWC (Green Book) latest edition, section 201-1. <br /> <br />A. Concrete Manufacturer Qualifications: Manufacturer of ready-mixed concrete products <br />complying with ASTM C 94 requirements for production facilities and equipment. <br /> <br />C. Paving work, base course etc., shall be done only after excavation and construction work, <br />which may damage them, have been completed. Damage caused during construction shall be <br />repaired before acceptance. <br /> <br />D. Existing paving area shall, if damaged or removed during the course of this project, be <br />repaired or replaced under this section of the specification. Workmanship and materials for <br />such repair and replacement, except as otherwise noted, shall match as closely as possible <br />those employed in existing work. <br /> <br />E. Pavement, base, or subbase shall not be placed on a muddy subgrade. <br /> <br />F. Provide sawcut control joints as required to construct 100 sq. ft. maximum panel sizes, unless <br />otherwise called on the plans. <br /> <br />G. Concrete Testing Service: Engage a qualified independent testing agency to perform materials <br />evaluation tests and to design concrete mixes. <br /> <br /> <br />1.6 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> <br />A. Traffic Control: Maintain access for vehicular and pedestrian traffic as required for other <br />construction activities. <br /> <br />1.7 TESTING AND INSPECTION <br /> <br />A.
