ON -CALL ENGINEERING SERVICES ' ` Waldo Flesourga5— Opllo,rA � pumping redevelopment and pumping tests on a part-time basis; preparation of the recommended new pumping rate and depth setting for the new pump; observe the final well video survey;, and prepare a summary of well rehabilitation operations report, Task 6, Basis of Deslgn - Tetra Tech will prepare a Basis of Design Report summarizing the findings of the well assessment, necessary well modifications, the pipeline design requirements, and the pipeline alignment selection. The Basis of Design Report will include the following issues: • Overall evaluation of the existing well based on current operation and City standards. • Recommended well rehabilitation. • Recommended well modifications required to pump water directly into distribution system instead of into adjacent reservoir: size of pump/motor; pump to waste; etc. • evaluation of chlorination facilities and any recommended modifications. • Evaluation of site layout, access issues, piping modifications, etc, • Evaluation of existing electrical facilities and recommended upgrades. • evaluation of existing communications and controls. Recommend upgrades. • Identify any hydraulic issues for the change in well operation. • Update the well Operational Functional Specification for the well (an Optional Task), • Summarize the alignment analysis and the recommended alignment selection. • Determine pipeline material: PVC for water main (unless restrained Joints are required and DIP is recommended); fend PVC (SDR-35) for the sewer main (unless depth is greater than 10 to 12 feet and extra -strength VCP is recommended). • Summarize the preliminary staging for construction and traffic management plan. • Identify all permits and time frames for processing said permits. • Prepare preliminary estimate of probable construction costs. Tetra Tech will prepare preliminary drawings (30% milestone) for both the pipelines and well rehabilitation as part of the Basis of Design Report, Task 6; CEQA Documentation - Tetra Tech will prepare documentation required to fulfill the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements. We have assumed an Initial Study (IS)/Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) will be required as was in the RFP for both Well No. 32 and Well No. 29 Rehabilitation Projects.
