A key challenge an this project is to determine how
best to address bicycle traffic at bus stops, since
Mile One.Streat has transit stops throughout its
corridor. key optionsto be considered would
minimize stoppage of elthervehicie or bicycle
traffic, and maximize safety for bicyclists and
pedestrians, If space allows. One Option Is depicted
In this figure.
.Project Funding
Depending on the requfrements of the funding
source(s), W tearh will provide all necessary
documentation for regular reporting requirements
CSG PROPOSALTO $MITA ANA
MILE ONE PROJECT
IIIIIIIQ
tNitleGPINO ', UN{18C%J+1N0
C56IV&ONSIst the City an identifying O'aaeeptsjpr blcyde tape
transktions near bus st©ps,
Task Breakdown
The scope of services for this project shall consist of the following major tasks, as described in more detail
-below;
• Task A—Project, Management and Coord natkrn
• Task 8—CajtransLocal Assist$nceCoordination(If req uire d)
• Task G - Data Collection
• Task D r P,rollminery Design
• Task C— Design. It Is assumed that there will betwo project meetings during
design,
Other than coordination withthe:Cattrans Local AWstance Division for federal funding requirements, it is
anticipated that the fallowing additional permit needs will be required for this project, which CSG will assist the
City in obtaining permit approval.
CSG has assumed that the following designrelatod meetings will be required, as outlined in the RFP:
1, Preliminary Design Progress Meeting
2, 30% Design Progress Meeting
3. 6kaa Design Progress Meeting
A, FINAL Design Progress Meeting
Public outreach
CSG will prepare materials and lead two.publlc outreach meetings to present the proposed Improvements to
the community. One public meeting will be held after three concepts have been prepared, to gather
comments/feedback from the community, Following this meeting, the 30✓E submittal will be developed
based on City and community feedback, before another public meeting is held, holding public meetings and
seeking com-munity feedback early in the project design, prior to the development of the 60% submittal, will
make the public feedback period more effective, by minimizing changes in the later stages of the design,
which have greater impacts on project schedule and cost.
CSG has assumed that the following public outreach•related meetings will be required, as outlined in the RFP;
1, Two Public Meetings
2.
