We will prepare a report presenting the results of field exploration, geoteolmical laboratory testing, and engineering
analyses, as well as conclusions and recommendations relative to the project.
t
Deliverabl's; Draft Pa vement and Soil MaterlelReport, Final Pavement Report and Sol/ Material Report.
Task 4: Survey (Options A And 6
............................... ...
t
... ......................... .................................................... ........ ...... ........... ,.............,........•
The KimleyHorn team will provide aerial mapping with supplemental ground surveys at a scale of 1" = 20' with 50 feet
a
Interval cross sections olongetreats as well as the project area for pump stations,'Tnis encompasses survey record
collection, estoblishment of horlmhtal and vertical controls; monument and centerline tle preservation; And ostabllshrnent
of temporary benchmarks. Existing features such as utility covers, pavement limits, priyatd properfp improvements, curb
ramps, driveways,. curb and gutters, sidewalks, street lights and poles, and traffic signs and striping will be surveyed
where npaded for the proposed design and added to the base maps, Existing right of -way will be Input per readily
available raoords.
v
Deliverables: Mlcrostation V8l Files of7bpographic Survey, XML Point File, 0TM of existing surfaoa features.
Task 5, H draulic/H drab Analysis (Option B
.'i
tour team will proparo a ©ralnago Repoit to eddr'e, hydrology and hydraulics for the sit' per, Orange, Gpunfy
Hydrology Manual and Orange County Local Drainage Manual requirements and will provide design recommendations.
ti
Modif cations are intended to maintain existing drainage patterns and flows, Calculations will consist of comparing the..%'
pro- and post -project conditions at the site. Catch basins will be Incorporated Into design, where necessary, Le. to limit
flooded width, and at low points.
q, ,
Deliverables; draft hydrology and hydraulic analysis end drainage report, Final hydrology and hydraulic analysis and
s ';
drainage report.
Task 6 Water Quality (Options A and B)
............................ ..... .... ........... .................................:..........................................:.......
4
Klmley Horn will develop a WQMP for the project in compliance with, and meeting the requirements of Order No.
R8.2009•0030/NPOES No. CAS018030, of the SantaAna Regional Water Quality Control Board, The WQMP will
k Y
Incorporate low Impact development best management practices to the maximum extent practical. For'xample, the use
f,
of bioretentlon facilities within landscaped parkway areas wilt be In accordance with the United States Environmental
Protection Agency preen Street standards. If proprietary items are needed, those will be indicated in compliance with the
t'
City's adopted public contracting code.
f
Deliverables: graft WQMP, Final WQMP.
Task 7, Environmental Studies (Options A and B)
KimleyHorn Scope of Services assumes that an Initial Study leading to a Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS] MND) is
the appropriate CEQA documentation for the proposed project. The IS will provide the necessary background. Each of
the topics contained in the Environmental Checklist will be evaluated to document the nature and extent of any potential
environmental consequences and the need for mitigation. During the preparation of the IS should it be determined that
k
the project could have significant impacts that cannot be fully mitigated, we will work with the City to identify modifications
to the project that could reduce anticipated impacts. Using the City's initial Study Checklist, KimleyHorn will respond to
each checklist question. The analysis will use the following technical studies and data prepared by our team: Traffic Impact
Study, Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Study, Noise Study, Utilities/ Infrastructure, Gaotechnleal Study, Drainage, Concept
WQMP, and a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. All other environmental topics would be studied qualitatively.
Deliverables; Initial Study leading to a Mitigated Negative Declaration (ISIMND).
Kimle//'' tni L3jnwn
)Morn 16 MOC77025.171 City of Santa Ana
<__ 3
