ON•CAt t. cNGn*zr RING SERVICES <br />RFP NO,: 17-083 <br />City of Sania Ana <br />tiKOPOSAL <br />Topography and Street Cross Sections: <br />Mark Thomas will perform a field topographic survey to document existing site topography and piantmetrics. <br />Substantial visible Improvements will be located within the street right of way, Including lane striping, utilities, <br />manholes, valve covers, utility vaults and covers, sign posts, signs, trees, utility poles, traffic signal poles, <br />cross gutters, local depressions, catch basins, driveway openings, sidewalks, corner access ramps, fire <br />hydrants, parkway drains, etc. Visible indications of-surFace utilities lying within, the project limits will be <br />lobated,, as will accurate lid/rim elevations for drainage structures present. Sewer manholes will be dipped for <br />Invert elevations. <br />Street cross-sections will be token at 50 -foot intervals, The standard eross•sectional data will consist of Sack <br />of Walk, Top of Curb, Flow Line, Gutter tip, and Crown for both sides of the street. <br />The topographic data will be downloaded, processed and tied tc the horizontal and vertical control <br />established for this projeot. The topographic data Will be plotted ih CAD and a digital terrain model <br />(DTM) created for the existing ground surface. The final deliverables will include the digital terrain model, <br />topographic data plotted In CAO and an ASCII file of the topographic survey points, <br />Monument Preservation Pro -Construction: <br />Pre -construction corner records will be prepared for those existing centerline monuments located within <br />the project limits, estimated at fourteen (14). These comer records will be prepared In accordance with the <br />California land .Surveyor's Act 5771 (b) and filed with the Prange County Surveyor's Office, <br />Monument Preservation Post•Constru0low <br />After construction Is completed, these corner records may be utilized to re-establish the monuments that <br />may be destroyed during the pavement rehabilitation work. Post•construotion corner records would then be <br />prepared and filed with Prange County. <br />Task 3 Delivorables: <br />AutoCAQ drawing and ASCII point files <br />• Hard Copy of Survey field notes, sketches and photographs <br />• <br />One (1) PDF copy of the recorded Corner Records and/or record of Survey <br />Task 4, Utility Coordination <br />1. Utility Mapping: Mark Thomas will utilize As -built data and utility maps obtained by the utility companies <br />to prepare base mapping and identify all utilities on the plans that are within the project limits. <br />2. Utility Conflict Mapping Procedure: Mark Thomas will assist the City with the typical "ABC" process of <br />utility letters, which includes: <br />a, Utility "A" Letter — The Utility °A" Getters will be sent to each utility to request as -built mapping of their <br />facilities, <br />b. The utility mapping developed for the PS&S will be verified. The mapping will be verified through <br />topographic surveys, <br />c. Utility "B" Letter — Maps showing the utility mapping and the proposed improvements will be: sent to <br />the utility companies for verification, <br />d. Utility "C" Letter — Final plans along with a letter will be sent to the utility companies showing the <br />existing utilities and the final design. <br />3. Potholing (Utilized to locate utilities to mitigate potential conflicts): Mark Thomas will retain a <br />vacuum pothole company to positively identify the depths, material type, and size of known critical <br />facilities, 20 Potholes have been estimated for this scope, <br />....
