The City was awarded Federal <br />Highway Safety Improvement Program funds to Install medians, landscaping,and associated imprav_errtGnts to Improve _ _ <br />tsadestYia fsn7l t afflc�afaty.-A traffic Analysis was eanduckad toestablish median openings and turn pocket lane lengths, <br />Our team coordinated with stakeholders Including tine residents and business owners, and public outreach community <br />meetings were scheduled so the conceptual plans could be presented to the community. <br />East 19th street Design Improvements <br />CITY OF COSTA MESA I COSTA V ESA, CA <br />Project Manager. Mr. Niknefs was responsible for the design of this roadway, median and parkway landscaping <br />improveients project. The, project Inpluded the removal of reconstruction of pavement, and reconstruction of curb, gutter, <br />cross gutter, sidewalk, wheelohair ramp and driveway, His responsibilities included managing the preparation of the plans; <br />Spovifioationaand cost estimates) and assisting the City with the preparation of FES and E�76 certification, as well as with <br />thasubmlttal and processing through Caltrans. <br />Wilmington Avenue Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements <br />CITY OF COMPTON i COMPTON, CA <br />Project Manager, Mr Nlknars was respopsiblefor providing professional design engineering services Including plans, <br />specifications, Cost estimates and related Did documents for the Wilmington Avenue Safe Streets Pedestrian/Bicycle <br />Improvement Project. The project included pavement rehabilitation on Wilmington Avenue from El Segundo BoUlsval'd to <br />Rosocrons Avenue. Scope of work consisted of various pedestrian and bloycie5mprovements; the instaliatlon.6f wider and <br />colored crosswalks; .00untdown pedestrian signals; enhanced pedestrian lighting, the installation of Class 11 bike lanes with <br />wayfInding signage and Class I bike paths; and the ihstallation of four solar -powered speed feedback signs far speed control <br />and attainment. <br />FY 2017.18 Annual Street Rehabilitation <br />CITY OF VILt.A PARK VILLA PARK, CA. <br />Project Manager. The Improvements may Include the removal and replacement of deteriorated sections of the streets by repaving <br />or slurry sea] the streets; construction of curb and gutter or AC burm at certain locations of these streets; and the <br />replacement of curb and gutters as needed to provide adequate drainage, <br />Colonial Avenue Alley Pavement Project <br />CITY OF CULVER CITY I CULVER CITY, CA <br />Project Manager. Mr, Niknefs is responsible for providing professional design services for the Colonial Avenue Alleyway. As <br />part of the Community Development Block 0rant (CDBG) program, the Colonial Avenue Alleyway Paving project includes the <br />paving of approximately 800 LP by 20 feet wide of the alleyway. The scope of work also involves field review, topographic <br />survey, design plans, bid schedule and technical specifications, quantity and cost estimates. <br />Expo Line Bus Stop Enhancement Project <br />CITY OFSANTA MONICA I SANTA MONICA, CA <br />Project Manager. Ourteam was selected to provide engineering design services for the Expo Line Bus Stop Enhancement <br />Project in Santa Monica. Phase it of the Expo Line extends the line to Santa Monica. As a result, Big Blue Bus Is <br />implementing a comprehensive redesign of Its transit system to connect passengers with the Expo Line stations in <br />attempt to create a more efficient commute for passengers, These Initiatives also include the inclusion of signago, bus <br />berths end overall pedestrian improvements. Ourteam Is Providing preliminary, schematic and final design to Include <br />construction documents detailing bus pads, ADA-compliant wheelchair pads, sidewalk extensions and the location of bus <br />stops. The work consisted of coordination with various agencies and utliity organizations. <br />
