0 City of Santa Ana <br />mindful of the need for safe operations, including the avoidance of <br />exhaust fumes; <br />v. Not interfere with or assist OCFA personnel in any firefighting or <br />emergency rescue operation; <br />vi. Request a secondary ambulance and/or,.feld supervisor immediately <br />upon determining that their unit has suffered a mechanical failure or is or <br />may become disabled, or upon -the request of an OCFA Incident <br />Commander, and must likewise immediately inform the OCFA Incident <br />Commander of any mechanical failures; and, <br />vii. Be aware that safety is the responsibility of all personnel on scene; <br />ambulance personnel shall not enter or operate in unsafe <br />environments. <br />4.3.12 Disaster Assistance <br />During a disaster, declared locally or in a neighboring jurisdiction, strict <br />application of the performance standards set forth in the Contract Documents may <br />be temporarily suspended by the OCFA in order to provide an appropriate <br />response. While disaster coordination shall be provided by OCFA, Contractor is <br />expected to be actively, involved in the planning and response to any declared <br />disaster. Upon notification of a disaster by OCFA, Contractor must immediately <br />commit any and all available resources and assist OCFA and the City of Santa <br />Ana in accordance with disaster plans and protocols applicable in the locality <br />where the disaster has occurred.
