SCOPE OF SERVICES AND SCHEDULE <br />Deliverables: <br />• 30% Design Lake Renovation Plan Set (18-25 sheets) <br />• CEQA Categorical Exemption Document <br />Task 2: Design Development (60% plans) <br />In the Design Development phase Dudek will incorporate comments and input from the City into the <br />project design and advance the Lake Renovation Plan Set and project design to the 60% completion <br />level. In this phase, we will prepare the design and facility sizing calculations for the mechanical <br />equipment including the circulation pumps, sump pumps, water feature pumps, air compressors, <br />aeration disks, and ventilation fans. We will also design and size all of the water circulation system <br />piping, plumbing, and aeration tubing to meet minimum Orange County Environmental Health Division <br />Standards. Dudek will prepare design and sizing calculation for the bio -filtration system, the macro - <br />skimmers, and aquatic vegetation planting shelves. Dudek will prepare a draft Lake Manual which <br />Will include a detailed discussion on the lake -fishery management, lake water quality management, <br />lake operation, equipment maintenance guidelines and lake maintenance activities to assist City staff <br />in the management of the lake. All of the design calculations for the lake will be included in the <br />appendices of the lake manual. Dudek will also prepare a draft version of the project construction <br />specifications using the boilerplate provided by the City and submit to the City for review along with a <br />preliminary Engineer's Estimate consistent with the 60% level of completion of the construction <br />documents. The construction cost estimate will include all elements depicted in the plan set. The <br />cost estimate will include an Itemized breakdown to assist in budgeting. We anticipate meeting <br />with City staff on two occasions in this phase to discuss design development and to get city Input on <br />the design. <br />Dudek Habitat Restoration Specialists and Landscape Architects, in collaboration with in-house <br />Wildlife Biologists, will prepare a preliminary landscape/revegetation design solution and final <br />landscape construction documents forthe landscape/revegetation components of the project. The <br />extent of these services will include the following: <br />• Preliminary design and construction documentsfor improvementsto the'Waterfowl Island <br />and Wildlife Habitat Island", <br />• Preliminary design and construction documents for improvements to the lake margin <br />"Meandering Stream, Waterfall and Native Planting Area", <br />• Preliminary design and construction documents for improvements to the lake margins <br />associated with the "Aquatic-Wetiand Vegetation Planters" (i.e., planting strips in periodic <br />locations along the lake margins), <br />• Biological assistance for design and plant specification for the lake improvements <br />mentioned above, <br />• Preliminary design and construction documents for interpretive signage, <br />• Cost estimating support for landscape improvements <br />The work will include a site visit to evaluate existing conditions and available site opportunities; <br />preparation of a preliminary landscape design solution, and design and development of planting plans <br />(i.e., planting plans, legend, details, and notes) and a permanent landscape Irrigation system (i.e., <br />irrigation plans, legend, details, and notes) utilizing an existing park point of connection. All project <br />specifications for the landscape and irrigation improvements would be prepared in plan format (i.e., <br />specifications included as plan sheets within the construction document package).
