0 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />B. The OCFA Incident Number(s); <br />C. A narrative summary of the incident; <br />D. Explanation for the cause of the response time delay; and <br />E. The specific exemption requested. The decision to either grant or deny a <br />response time exemption request will be made by the OCFA within thirty <br />(30) days; the decision to deny may be appealed to the Santa Ana OCFA <br />Fire Chief or his designee, whose decision shall be final. <br />4.3.9 Use of Alternative Methods to Meet Response Time Requirements <br />For purposes of maintaining compliance with the response time <br />requirements established herein, Contractor must negotiate and enter into a <br />Mutual Aid Contract with an ambulance service operator for the provision of 9-1-1 <br />Emergency Transportation Service ("Mutual Aid Provider"). Any ambulance <br />provider selected to provide such services, and any agreement to provide such <br />services pursuant to this Section, must satisfy the following requirements: <br />A. The Mutual Aid Contract must be reviewed and approved by the City of <br />Santa Ana and OCFA prior to execution of the Contract awarded pursuant <br />to this RFP and a copy of the Mutual Aid Contract must be sent to the <br />OCFA EMS Section Battalion Chief; <br />B. Mutual Aid Providers will be expected to perform 9-1-1 Emergency <br />Transportation Service in the City of Santa Ana in accordance with all of <br />the operational standards, procedures, and performance requirements set <br />forth in the Contract Documents.
