Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />BUSH STREET BICYCLE BOULEVARD DESIGN SERVICES <br />RFP NO.: 18-072 <br />INTRODUCTION / PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The City of Santa Ana (City) desires to enter into an Agreement with a qualified professional <br />engineering consulting firm for the preparation PS&E package for Bush Street Bicycle <br />Boulevard (Project). <br />The proposed Bicycle Boulevard Project is along Bush Street from Civic Center to 1701 Street <br />and along 15th Street from Sycamore Street to Bush Street. The scope of the Project includes <br />installation of neighborhood traffic circles or mini -roundabouts at eight (8) intersections along <br />the corridor, as well as signage and roadway markings connecting the Project with a low -stress <br />bikeway to Downtown Santa Ana. The Project also includes street work at the intersections <br />including, but not limited to: pavement, curb extensions, sidewalk, drainage and utility <br />adjustments/relocations, signage, striping, and landscaping and irrigation where feasible. All <br />improvements will be constructed in the Public Right of Way. <br />The Project is funded through the Affordable Housing Sustainable Communities Programs <br />(AHSC Program). Information regarding AHSC can be found in the Appendix of this RFP as <br />Attachment 4. <br />CONSULTANT SERVICES <br />A. PROJECT COORDINATION. The Consultant shall be fully responsible for the overall <br />management and coordination for the project, which may include, but is not limited to project <br />development team meetings, liaison with affected agencies, and utility companies. Prepare <br />progress report and schedule, securing permits for all field studies and any other required <br />permits from other agencies. <br />B. RECORDS RESEARCH. Research all information pertinent to the project including, but <br />not limited to existing field condition, as -built plans and record drawings, right-of-way data <br />and all future improvement plans adjacent to or affecting the project site. The selected <br />Consultant shall identify all existing and proposed facilities within the projects limits and <br />potential conflicts. <br />C. SURVEY. On -the -ground field topographical survey work is required for the Consultant <br />(and/or the Consultant's Subconsultant) using prevailing wages to identify existing horizontal <br />and vertical features that are needed for the project. It is the Consultant's responsibility to <br />provide only the survey necessary for the design of the bicycle boulevard on Bush Street and <br />15th Street. Consultant shall identify in the proposal a detail list of features the survey would <br />include. Design level survey and base mapping of the project site shall be prepared in US <br />Customary English units by a California licensed Land Surveyor in accordance with the City <br />nta Ana RFP 18-072 <br />541915 <br />
