Housing First <br />Program <br />Housing Choice <br />Program Access <br />HOME <br />Investment <br />Partnership <br />Program <br />Tax Credits <br />Support legislation that expands <br />funding for the Housing First model to <br />provide permanent housing for <br />individuals that are homeless. <br />Support passage of FY 2018 <br />appropriations bill with full funding for <br />the Housing Choice Voucher Program <br />and the program's administrative fees. <br />Seek to protect the HOME Investment <br />Partnerships Program from funding <br />cuts to help expand affordable <br />housing, increase jobs, and provide <br />public services. <br />Work alongside NAHRO and the <br />ACTION campaign to establish a <br />permanent 4 percent credit rate for <br />allocated acquisition credits, and raise <br />the overall annual housing credit <br />allocation to states. Support legislation <br />to expand and improve the affordable <br />housing credit program. <br />(CDA) The City collaborated with <br />other cities across Orange County for <br />the adoption of AB448 that was <br />adopted by the CA State Legislature <br />to establish the Orange County <br />Housing Finance Trust. <br />(CDA) The City issued an RFP for <br />Affordable Housing Development <br />that included HUD-VASH Project <br />Based Vouchers which implement <br />the Housing First model to provide <br />permanent housing for homeless <br />veterans <br />(CDA) The Housing Authority was <br />successful in applying for and <br />receiving additional 200 VASH <br />Project Based Vouchers from HUD <br />and the VA in 2018. The Housing <br />Authority also received 50 vouchers <br />from the Mainstream Program. <br />(CDA) Through successful efforts by <br />all on every level, the city received <br />an additional $575K in HOME funds <br />for FY 18/19 above the FY 17/18 <br />total allocation. <br />(CDA) The City supported the 9% <br />Low -Income Housing Tax Credit <br />application by the developer of the <br />Tiny Tim Plaza affordable housing <br />project which will include 51 units of <br />affordable housing when complete. <br />(CDA) The City also adopted <br />Affordable Housing Funds Policies <br />and Procedures to more effectively <br />align local and Federal funds with <br />the competitive allocation of 9% tax <br />credits. <br />65A-320ty of Santa Ana Legislative Scorecard 2018 14 <br />
